Prohibited Software and Applications
The following categories are prohibited when they are used to facilitate unlawful activity, unauthorized access, abuse, fraud, or disruption: credential stealers, keyloggers, ransomware, destructive malware, botnets, command-and-control malware, phishing kits, unauthorized remote-access tools, exploit kits used against systems without permission, traffic flooding tools, cryptomining that violates a plan or resource policy, spam engines, bulk unsolicited-mail systems, carding tools, credential stuffing tools, and software designed to evade lawful security controls.
Software may also be restricted when it creates an unreasonable security or resource risk to shared infrastructure. A legitimate security, development, research, or administration tool is not automatically prohibited when it is used lawfully and with authorization.
We may investigate suspected abuse, suspend affected services, preserve relevant records, and request removal of prohibited software. Customers remain responsible for the software they install and the activity performed through their service.
